This collagraph print with chine colle won a Print Day in May prize from The Japanese Paper Place.
It was made using a techinique learned from The Curious Printmaker where you actually iron a potato chip bag to create interesting texture then glue that to a firm surface to ink. I added a viscosity roll of ink. The resulting image reminded me of the wonderful mystical energy experienced in nature at the “in between times” of dawn and dusk.
In the universe, there are things that are known, and things that are unknown, and in between them, there are doors.
― William BlakeThe line between reality and unreality is thin. Liminality as a spiritual concept is all about the porousness of boundaries.”
