Asemic writing is “a hybrid art form that fuses text and image into a unity, and then sets it free to arbitrary subjective interpretations.” I like my work to invite viewers to project their own subjective pondering of mystery and energy. “Asemic writing offers meaning by way of aesthetic intuition, and not by verbal expression.” Art, music, and dance are universal languages. The public discourse out there could certainly use some non-verbal unifying help!
How will the Tower of Babel be undone? How will we understand each other in Heaven? Will we all speak English or Dutch or Latin? No, we will speak music.
